Since 2025, regular zoological and botanical monitoring has been carried out on selected agricultural plots within the AELL Tatry area.

To ensure the implementation of research activities and systematic data collection on the AELL agricultural sites, the following infrastructure has been installed to date: a meteorological station at the farm in Važec, soil‑moisture dataloggers, and camera traps.

In cooperation between the botanists of the Institute of Botany of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and representatives of the company Agrostis, seed mixtures of herbs, grasses and legumes were designed and prepared for the newly proposed non‑productive areas and the AELL Tatry site.
